arts services; and initiates and promotes activities which provide information

Enforces state laws designed to prevent the introduction and spread of injurious insects, rodents, birds, predatory animals, weeds and plant diseases; regulates pesticide use by private and professional applicators; compiles crop data; regulates produce and egg quality; and inspects for accuracy all scales and meters used in trade throughout the County, also inspects packages at the wholesale and retail level for accurate labeling, advertised price accuracy, and investigates complaints regarding same. Plans, develops and coordinates HIV/AIDS-related activities within the Department of Health Services through subcontracted community-based agencies, hospitals, health organizations, and through the department's inpatient and outpatient facilities. Specific services include: AIDS risk reduction and prevention programs; HIV/AIDS medical outpatient, mental health, case management, and other HIV/AIDS services; liaison with providers, state, federal and private sector medicine on HIV/AIDS issues; strategies and implementation plan development for HIV/AIDS programs in cooperation with the community; grants and contracts development, administration and monitoring; and collection, analysis and release of HIV/AIDS data.

Individuals seeking criminal records are only entitled to their own unless they have a notorized letter of authorization allowing someone else to access their criminal history. Employers normally use private companies to do background checks. However, the Sheriff's Department does conduct name-based background checks with the appropriate waivers and fees.
