Of course there is the famous Los Angeles International Airport or LAX.  This airport is situated west of the city and is the third busiest airport in the USA.  It has 61 million passengers pass through its doors every year.

LAX sits on 3,500 acres and is home to United Airlines, American Airlines and Continental Airlines. It has nine passenger terminals shaped in a horse shoe and each terminal has large number gates, enabling this airport to cope with the huge number of annual passengers.

Terminal One has fifteen gates and is home to US Airways, South West Airways and US Airways Express.

Terminal Two has eleven gates and is home to AeroMexico, Air Canada, Air China and Air France, just to name a few. Terminal Three has twelve gates and houses Alaska Airlines, JetBlue and Virgin America.

You’ll find fourteen gates at terminal four as well as Qantas Airlines and American Eagle. Fourteen gates are also found at terminal five which houses Northwest Airlines and Delta Airlines.

Terminal six has fourteen gates and terminal seven has eleven gates, while terminal eight houses nine gates. The Tom Bradley International Terminal has twelve gates and nine satellite gates and is home to Turkish Airlines, British Airways and many more.

Other airports in the area include the LA / Ontario International airport which sits to the ease of the city; this is the only other international airport which services theLos Angeles area.

There is a large number of domestic airports in the area, each servicing different sectors of Los Angeles with Bob Hope Airport located in Burbank which servicesSan Fernando and San Gabriel.

John Wayne airport sits south east of the city and services Santa Ana and Long Beach Airport services Long Beach.  LA / Palmdale Regional Airport servicesSanta Clarita and Antelope Valley.

With a number of aviation airports also available in the city, there is no shortage of air traffic through the Los Angeles area.  Aviation Airports include Brackett Field,Chino Airport and Santa Monica Airport, just to name a few.

If you’re planning a holiday to Los Angeles, you can see there is an airport in every area enabling you to get to your destination with ease.  LAX or Los Angeles International Airport is so big it often uses the smaller airports to transfer passengers, so if you’re travelling from London in the UK to Long Beach, you will enjoy a change over at LAX before heading to your required destination.

Many of the hotels in Los Angeles also offer airport shuttles, so you can completely relax from the minute you step onto your flight. Fly to LAX or one of the domestic airports and head off to you hotel completely hassle free.

With so many airports servicing the Los Angeles area, travelling by plane is easier and quicker for many US residents than travelling by car and figuring out the road system in a strange city.

All airports offer reliable service and you are guaranteed to find flights to your required location within Los Angeles easily and quickly.  So many domestic flights are taking off and arriving, that you are guaranteed you will not be disappointed.

Whether you are flying an international flight or a domestic flight LAX is a huge airport and is the fifth busiest commercial airport in the world.  It is no surprise withHollywood and Disneyland being such large tourist attractions.
